Founded in 2017, Creatable’s mission began with the underrepresentation of girls in STEM. Our goal was to ignite a passion for creative technology in young women by helping them use technology as a tool to solve problems and express their creativity. The first iteration of this mission led to an industry-inspired creative technology curriculum being taught by our team, face-to-face, in high schools.
The program’s success was largely due to the industry context and connections Creatable brought to the classroom. This success was also our future challenge – how do we scale ‘the industry connection’ and make it more accessible to those who need it most?
Our new iteration collaborates with global companies shaping the future of work, transferring lessons and ideas from industry to improve the way we learn and teach.
The result is professional learning that empowers teachers to draw on what works best in industry and apply it to their classroom (or staffroom) context.
